Prof. Lu Lin, Distinguished professor of Xiamen University. 

Professor Lin focuses on the research of chemical and biological conversion of biomass into liquid fuels, chemicals and energy intermediates, especially in the fields of biomass acid hydrolysis chemistry, chemical conversion process, synthesis of special high-valued products and application of bioenergy technologies into industry.

Co-Chairs: 

Prof. Minnan Long, Xiamen University 

Professor Long focuses on the research of alcohol-based fuel, bio-hydrogen production, bio-chemicals and bio-materials.

Prof. Feng Xu, Beijing Forestry University

Professor Xu’s research interests include: Plant resource chemistry; Ultrastructure of wood and straw; Lignin and cellulose distribution in cell wall; Isolation and characterization of hemicelluloses; cellulose and lignin from wood and cereal straws.

Prof. Baishan Fang, Xiamen University 

Professor Fang’s research interests include: Synthetic biology, directed evolution and bioinformatics for microbiology and enzyme; Biocatalysts (esp. cofactor regeneration for redox) and enzyme engineering

Prof. Zhifeng Zheng, Xiamen University 

Professor Zheng focuses on the research of biomass liquefaction/pyrolysis, bio-chemicals and biodiesel.




Prof. Yinghua Lu, Xiamen University 
Professor Lu’s research interests include: Fermentation, cultivation of microorganisms; gene cloning and Bioproduct separation

Prof. Yunquan Liu, Xiamen University 

Professor Liu’s research interests include: Thermochemical Conversion of Biomass, Hydrogen Production and Fuel Cells, Energy Conservation and Emissions Reduction
